The Berkeley Hills – Tilden Park & Wildcat Canyon

Filed under: Uncategorized — serkes @ 4:08 pm

Our cousin Mimi visited us last week. She’s an outdoor enthusiast and rock climber, so we took her to the the places in Berkeley we knew she’d love… Tilden Park, Indian Rock Park, and Cragmont Park.

I often talk about Berkeley and Oakland’s shopping neighborhood… Solano Avenue, North Berkeley, Elmwood Claremont, Rockridge & 4th Street… but the biggest wow for me was actually discovering Tilden Park in the Berkeley Hills! There’s no other place I know where you can have homes with spectacular San Francisco Bay Views on one side of the hill, and amazingly serene pastoral views as far as you can see just a short hike or bike away!

Here’s a photo I took on 15 Feb 2007… Yes, trees really do bloom in Berkeley the day after Valentine’s Day. That’s just one of the reasons I love living in Berkeley, and you will too.
